Singletrack Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

Singletrack is a mountain bike app, a product of tukool.dev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who sees it, and your choices. Questions: tukool.dev [at] gmail [dot] com.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messages to emergency contacts

See also how emergency contact texts work. When you add an emergency contact, you confirm that the person knows about it and agrees to get texts. We send them one message saying you added them. If you then need help during a ride, they get a text with your name, your last location and who you are riding with, and later a text when you are OK or when a riding partner is on the way. These texts are sent for safety only, never for marketing, and they are rare.

Who else handles your data

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

Your rides and account stay until you delete them or ask us to. Live location is removed when your ride ends or you stop sharing. Alert records are kept for a limited time to run the service and are then deleted. You can remove an emergency contact in Settings at any time, which removes their number from our records.

Your choices

Safety, not a guarantee

Singletrack's alerts are a helpful extra, not a replacement for calling emergency services. Alerts depend on phone signal, battery, settings and other things outside our control, and may be delayed or not delivered. In an emergency, call 911.

Children

Singletrack is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
